RoboCup: TIGERs Mannheim vs. ZJUNlict

And thus, the grand finale is upon us: TIGERs Mannheim and ZJUNlict face each other in the final match!

First Half

Since we’ve never had to tick a penalty shootout, there’s no format for it yet. However, I can say this much: No team has really implemented the Penalty Shootout, at least not ours, so one can assume that both TIGERs and ZJUNlict won’t shine too much. It just doesn’t happen frequently enough to invest a lot of time into it.

ZJUNlict Again messed up by ZJUNlict, which puts TIGERs two ahead.
TIGERs Another goal by TIGERs, making it 3-0. TIGERs has just implemented the basic shootout strategy, so they don’t commit any fouls, but that’s about it. However, it seems to be enough. If ZJUNlict doesn’t score now, TIGERs has won and becomes world champion for the third time!

RoboCup: ZJUNlict vs. TIGERs Mannheim

Directly following our match, one of the most exciting games of the entire tournament is coming up: TIGERs versus ZJUNlict. Although both teams are likely to face each other again, we can expect a game of very high quality.

First Half

05:00 The game starts at 17:08 with a 7-minute delay. TIGERs in blue, ZJUNlict in yellow.

And so the third game of the day begins: TIGERs Mannheim vs. Immortals. While Immortals are doing very well this year, their opponent is TIGERs Mannheim. Therefore, we expect a very one-sided game.

RoboCup: TIGERs Mannheim vs. Twente

The next game of the day is TIGERs Mannheim against RoboTeam Twente. Because the last game lasted incredibly long, the game will start with a significant delay. But that’s not a problem since games with TIGERs Mannheim always save the schedule, as TIGERs Mannheim invariably destroys all its opponents, making the games quickly come to an end. Twente won’t have much of a chance, they should be lucky if they even get to touch the ball once. You can find the link to the game as always on Twente’s YouTube page or at this link.

Despite the highly anticipated, very one-sided game, we are still curious whether Twente can play with more robots now and if some of their bugs have been fixed. Among other things, Twente often had trouble shooting the ball during kickoff, as they repeatedly caused a double touch, which is forbidden by the rules to prevent individual robots from making “marches” through the field.

First Half

The fourth match of the day between TIGERs Mannheim and RoboDragons is about to start. Given that RoboDragons have already demonstrated solid soccer skills, and no one would dare to doubt the abilities of TIGERs Mannheim, we can expect a very entertaining, albeit likely quite one-sided, match.
